I think that the thought of vampires is necessary in our times. It's just as a belief in religion. it gives people a different out look on life from with in and that which we cannot control. It is a form of belief that humans pry on simply because we have the indelible desire to want to believe, its hope against all hope. In the earlier times we needed folk tales to justify human cruelty or failure and even unexplainable natural disasters. Now it seems we need it to human difference and thought and new beliefs.
